Soil position: hills of 100 metres a.s.l.

Growing system: Spurred cordon

Soil type: Clayey of medium texture (red clay), well-exposed

Periodo of grapeharvest: Second and third weeks of October

Bottling: April two years after the harvest, after ageing in barrel, fining in bottle for four months

Color: Intense red rubin, tending to purple

Smell: intense fruity, rich and with a small spicy note

Taste: warm, soft, fairly fresh, sapid, tannic and balanced by the softness

Food matching: Vegetable soup, fresh pastas with meat sauces, red meat, pork, lamb and very aged cheeses
