A HIDDEN GEM IN TUSCANY

Located in the charming village of San Pietro a Marcigliano, our estate sits atop the rolling hills north-east of Lucca, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. From the vineyards and the historic cellar, you can see the plains of Lucca stretching towards the Monti Pisani, and on clear days, even catch a glimpse of the distant sea.

This peaceful setting, steeped in natural beauty, provides an ideal backdrop for crafting exceptional wines and olive oil. Away from the bustling tourist paths, our estate is a serene haven where the timeless charm of Tuscany shines through.

VINEYARDS & WINES: THE ESSENCE OF TUSCANY

Our vineyards cover 6.6 hectares, divided into four distinct plots: La Favorita, Biagio, Ciomei, and Carruba. Planted with Sangiovese, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet, and Vermentino, these vines benefit from the rich clay soils, sunny southern exposure, and cool breezes that sweep down from the hills.

We use organic and natural principles to nurture our vines, ensuring the fruit is healthy and full of character. Each wine is a reflection of our land, with a balance of freshness, complexity, and elegance that captures the true spirit of the Tuscan countryside.

OLIVE GROVES & OIL: LIQUID GOLD

Our estate includes 12 hectares of olive groves, home to traditional Tuscan varieties such as Frantoiano, Moraiolo, Leccino, and Pendolino. From these ancient trees, we produce a renowned extra virgin olive oil, celebrated for its deep green hue, fresh herbal aroma, and fruity, peppery flavor.

This oil is a staple of Tuscan cuisine and pairs perfectly with a range of dishes, from hearty soups and roasted meats to simple salads and bruschetta. Every drop embodies the tradition and care that go into our farming.

NATURAL WINES AND SUSTAINABILITY

At Azienda Agricola San Pietro, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We follow organic farming practices and, where possible, incorporate biodynamic techniques to care for our land and preserve its fertility for future generations.

Our winemaking reflects these values through natural processes. We hand-harvest grapes into small crates, avoid destemming, and crush the grapes barefoot in traditional vats, just as it was done in the past. The wines undergo spontaneous fermentation without the addition of commercial yeasts, resulting in genuine, minimal intervention wines.

From vineyard to cellar, our processes ensure that the final product is of the highest quality, a true reflection of our land, and respectful of the environment. This dedication has earned us recognition as a producer committed to sustainable agriculture.

CRAFTING TRADITION & INNOVATION

Our winemaking blends the best of tradition and innovation. Using modern technologies like temperature-controlled fermentation and medium-long macerations, we highlight the natural qualities of our grapes while respecting centuries-old methods.

This thoughtful approach extends to every bottle of wine, which reflects both the history of the estate and the modern touch of our team. Our olive oil and wine are created with the same attention to detail, making them genuine expressions of our land and heritage.
